Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
Feeling the pinch generally refers to financial issues during tough economical times. These guys have been shut down by Transport Canada for obvious reasons.

When I had an FBO, I used to sell them Jet fuel, but they were so cheap.
The crews were OK, but I always waited months to get paid...

Court rejected the request. Also CBC reports that they found an email sent from Aéropro to the pilots asking them NOT to log any snags in the aircraft logbooks.

Furthermore, the CBC has learned that the pilots received a note
could further damage to the carrier.
The note, sent in late May by a responsible maintenance advised the
drivers of imminent inspection of aircraft by Transport Canada. This
manager told them not to note in their logbooks abnormalities in
devices that are identified by the inspectors of the federal agency. It
asked the pilots to call the company directly for advise, if
appropriate.
In an interview, the spokesman for Transport Canada would not specify whether
This note is a motive behind the decision to cancel the permit.
But Transport Canada has noted repeatedly breaches the regulations
air transport, in-depth audits of business
carrier and interviews with staff Aéropro.

Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
That's hilarious.... I can confirm you before that we were asked to write any snags on a Seperate photocopied ''Snag sheet'' to report them, were given absolute crap when we were writing anythig in that logbook....
Hope TC is reading the threads here, cause there's a lot that never been said.....

Not really that naive, but if this can be food for thought for them in order take different approach with Aeropro, fine!!
WEbsites and stuff are surely not good enough for evidence! Everyone knows that right?! It's written in Wikepedia, so it has to be true!!

It's about time that crappy operators are paying back...
What goes around comes around!
Cheers!

Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
you seem to have inside knowledge of the company, did you work for them?

Evidence? No, but the road leading to evidence, yes.Tim wrote:do you really think TC is going look to avcanada for evidence?Clark Kent wrote: Hope TC is reading the threads here, cause there's a lot that never been said.....
What did you think was going on? That they were going to put on the tinfoil hats and wait for word from outer space?
Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
It's ironic that a company called Aero"PRO" is anything but. If they thought that safety was expensive ,wait until they find out,how expensive a disregard for safety is.

the road leading to evidence? what does that even mean? tell me your vision of avcanada in any way contributing to an investigation.Ogee wrote: Evidence? No, but the road leading to evidence, yes.

Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
Unfortunatly I didnt. I was too dumb at the time, unexperienced and more into building my time and all that jazz....
One thing i know for sure now, is Never compromise your ass for an operator, cause when the shit hits the fan, you might think they will have your back, but trust me they wont....For them anyways.....
I've white/grey hair now....lollll

Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
i hear ya...to be honest if i was working for a shitty operator with 200 hrs i dont know if i would suck it up and take it, quit or become a whistleblower. luckily i havent worked for a bad company yet, and ive got enough time now to know better even if i did get pressured into something.Clark Kent wrote:Unfortunatly I didnt. Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
what are you talking about???Tim wrote:the road leading to evidence? what does that even mean? tell me your vision of avcanada in any way contributing to an investigation. Evidence is something that can be used in a court of law. Obviously something said about an operator on AvCanada can't be used as evidence. But it can be a pointer to TC as to where to look for something that is evidence. If an off duty police officer is sitting in a cafe and overhears two thugs talking about BillyBob leaving a gun in a dumpster behind Joe's Market, he can to to that dumpster and find the gun, which may be evidence. What he heard the thugs saying isn't evidence. In the same fashion, if TC reads on AvCanada that an operator is instructing pilots not to write snags in the log, they can look for pilots, probably past employees, that will testify and give evidence to that, as well as go to the operator and look for evidence there.Ogee wrote: Evidence? No, but the road leading to evidence, yes.
What did you think was going on? That they were going to put on the tinfoil hats and wait for word from outer space? All investigators look for information wherever they can find it. TC is no different. You can be sure that they read this place very thoroughly. Which then removes the need for them to put on the tinfoil hats, a metaphor I take it that you haven't encountered yet.

Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
Just curious....Does that include the Sasair division that does fire patrol?
Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
Gee, aren't there rules about filling out logbooks? I could have sworn there were...

"What's it doing now?"
"Fly low and slow and throttle back in the turns."
"Fly low and slow and throttle back in the turns."
Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
Hopefully TC and the government will pull their heads out of their asses and realize that SMS needs to be supplemented with more audits and spot inspections. Enough of this self-regulating b.s., no matter how much it costs or how inconvenient it is to big business, hire a thousand inspectors to cover the country and if one life is saved in the course, it'll all be worth it. Everyone makes mistakes but disregard for safety and outright negligence has to be stopped.
Seriously, when was the last time you heard of someone being ramp checked?
Create more jobs and you'll even get more revenue from fines, because you can be sure that it's not just this company but a hundred others just like it.
Fly Safe.

Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
As a quick guess: Aéropro held the AMO that did maintenance for Sasair and their school CFAQ as well. So even if these companies keep their certificates, they're going to have to solve the maintenance issues. Also, the e-mail sent to the pilots about the logbooks (French CBC initially broadcast a version where all the e-mails were legible this afternoon.) was sent from an address on the CFAQ domain name...pelmet wrote:Just curious....Does that include the Sasair division that does fire patrol?
Re: Aeropro feeling the pinch.
Unfortunately this is the downside of self-regulation. It takes people losing their lives before government steps in to take corrective action at a company. Transport Canada should ████ █████ ██████ ███ ██ █████ █████. But hey, it's saves a lot of money.
