NEED SOME ADVICE
Hi.... I just recently got my permanent resident status in Canada.
I've been flying in South America DC-9 and ATR-42 down there. I've got over 1500 hrs TT but close to 200 PIC time.
I did my CPL AMEL conversion to Canada and have Group 1 IFR but it seems like I'm in a dead end because most of the jobs here would ask you to have ATPL for which I do not have the required PIC time (250 hrs).
What kind of jobs would I be elegible to apply for? i.e: AC?, Jazz? or something on a smaller operational basis like bearskin? or even smaller I don't know please help!
YOUR THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS ARE HIGHLY VALUED AND APPRECIATED!!!!

the kind of total time your talking about will normally get you a right-seat job on small to midsize turboprop in canada (king air to dash 8 range), however your heavy time will make you a little more valuable. jazz is certainly a possibility, but AC is still not as likely.batikd6b wrote:Hi.... I'd start with ATR operators such as First Air, Calm Air, Westwind and Morningstar.

Is there any way you could scrape up 50 hrs PIC (in anything - 150?) and get your ATPL?I've got over 1500 hrs TT but close to 200 PIC time ...most of the jobs here would ask you to have ATPL for which I do not have the required PIC time (250 hrs)
Re: NEED SOME ADVICE
It will not matter because from those numbers he's going to need over 2000TT before applying since cojoe time is worth 1/2
