Let me guess, you haven't bothered making a search yourself.....
Edit: I guess Sulako is a better man than I am.... I have no patience for people that ask before trying....

I also recall seeing a Beech 99 in timeair/Canadian Regional colors for a time operating from YXD-YOD in the early 90's.

It was operated by Southern Frontier (which was owned by Time Air), we used to do Calgary to Lloydminster during the week.

Re: Timeair
I worked for Timeair/Norcanair in Saskatoon back in 88 for a very short period and I remember having to do reconfiguration changes from cargo to passenger and back again on Beech 99's.
How can you tell which one is the pilot when you walk into a bar?....Don't worry he will come up and tell you.

Re: Timeair
Ahhh, Lethbridge and the Beech 18's.
I did most of a winter there flying the Beech's the tail wheel one and the Volpar tri gear conversion.
That was a long time ago.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Those were the days! Friday nights at the Port o`Call after work.
Anyone remember the Chief Pilot`s going away party when he sat on his DC3 cake?
We had quite a fleet: C310, C402, Chieftan, Twin Otter, Beech 99, Kingair (LJ 002 !), DC3, CV440.
I remember being called to the hangar late one night as the hangar next door was on fire and we had a thought that maybe our hangar was at risk; our boss was watching the conflagration and praying that the wind would change and turn our whole operation into an insurance claim. It didn`t happen.
It is strange to think that that most of us are either retired or darn close to it.

Re: Timeair
I seem to remember Time Air actually started as Lethbridge Air Services with a single Comanche.
Time Air's first airplanes were actually the Beech 18's, a couple of Cessna 402's and a VW Microbus.
The late Stan Broder bought the Lethbridge Air Service licence when Stubb Ross started Time Air.

The average pilot, despite the somewhat swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy and caring.
These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

I seem to remember some old pictures that an old dinosaur posted on here when he was trying to drum up support for the 45th anniversary of time air. If I recall they had pics of that vw micro bus.

Re: Timeair
The Comanche was actually for Comanche Aviation, which preceded Lethbridge Air Service. LAS started with the Beech 18

Re: Timeair
TIMEAIR served YYC-YLL-YOD-YLL-YYC with BE99 's and eventually the DH8's.
One aircraft type that was missed was the Citation II .. this was subbed in on occasion for sked flights and I saw this happen a few times on the YYC-YLL-YOD run. Needless to say it made for some very happy passengers! lol

No, it was operated by TimeAir as a TimeAir flight after KI bought SFA... SFA did not exist after the purchase.flyer 1492 wrote:It was operated by Southern Frontier (which was owned by Time Air), we used to do Calgary to Lloydminster during the week.
The flights operated 6 days a week YYC-YLL.. I worked every one of em! I remember Cowboy and Biff trying to taxi into my chest on the odd occasion too!

That link will take you to a photo of the original Lethbridge Air Service Beech 18 CF-RSX. It has been fully reconditioned and is on display at the Alberta Aviation Museum at CYXD in Edmonton.

Re: Timeair
StoptheWorld and Skydrver7,
Thanks for the info and effort.
RSX and OHL were both operated by Pem-Air Ltd,
from 1970 til probably 1973 or so on their daily
flight schedule from Toronto to Pembroke, Ont.
I always wondered what happened to them.
RSX looks a lot better in red than blue...
After selling the two Beeches PD moved up
to the heavy stuff, and bought two DC-3's
from Great Shakes - I mean Great Lakes
Airlines in Sarnia. GX bought Convair 440's
at that time (from Allegheny I think?)
Thanks guys.

This thread has turned out to be more informative than how it appeared it might of at the start. We all know about google....but there is nothing wrong with being polite.
Citation75, it is apparent why you asked the question.
I am just wondering: Is it possible your memory of the citation flight was a charter provided by a different company other than Time Air or a sub-charter provided by a third party to Time Air? Operators can and do on occasion sub-out a charter to a different operator if the equipment best suited for the mission is not available to look after the commitment on the day of.
