Kickstarter: Canadian made, <$600 control loading sim yoke
Hey all,
I don't imagine there are too many people on here who do the home flight sim thing, but thought it prudent to push this here nevertheless.

The team I’m with has been working on this little gizmo for close to a year now, and would be very happy to answer any questions pertaining to it!

Re: Kickstarter: Canadian made, <$600 control loading sim yo
looks awesome - hope it works out.
I am doing some IFR training in a RedBird FMX, and as great as the "full motion" aspect of that sim is, the control feel SUCKS!
trimming is near impossible with out feedback. I would love to see this sort of thing in the RedBird.
For those that have't seem one, the RedBrid is pretty awesome.
here's a video of me taking a 5 year old for a flight in it:

Hey thanks Schteevie,
Actually it was issues with the RB that originally got us going down this path! The FMX uses a spring tensioner on a moving shuttle to pass the L2"enhanced" FTD criteria. I know TC (and others) were/are having a lot of complaints about their specific implementation. I think the reason the they never bothered putting in decent control loading was simply one of cost. Off the shelf commercial systems for JUST A SINGLE YOKE are the better part of $30,000, and on an $80k-$100k machine that's a lot of coin to drop on a single feature. Anyway first day is almost done and were just about at the 10% mark! Thanks for all the support so far, if anyone thinks they may know an old airport bum who would get a kick out of this please pass it along.

Badly needed in the Sim world! Would love something like this to replace my FF2.

Just thought I would mention that after many requests we will be offering the raw actuator design for those interested in integrating it into floor mounted yokes/sticks, robots etc...
