Re: Jazz lands on lights in YAM?

A remember once on the line (I was still BLUE at that time) when we commenced a PMA approach with me as PF... That is nowhere close to a PMA... that was a bloody mess! FICU take a chill pill... If it has happened to other pilots, then we are not immune to something similar happening to us, unless w...

Re: Jazz lands on lights in YAM?

I have worked for Jazz and it was a great experience and I have moved on since! A remember once on the line (I was still BLUE at that time) when we commenced a PMA approach with me as PF. Type of A/C: CRJ 200 Situation: Started approach with weather above minimums. We Passed the FAF and reported vis...

Re: So any guesses as to when hiring will resume?

According to the last standing bid that was published earlier this week... main high light... none unexpected: - reduction on RJ flying due to Q400 fleet taking those routes. - overall reduced flying expected till next summer it shows that there wouldn't be any new hires scheduled untill early 2012 ...

I don't know where you guys did your medical, but when I did mine about 3.5 years ago in Toronot, it was intense is all I have to say.

2) ECG

Re: West Wind is in National is Out !!

I know the Flight School was never operating for the past 5-10 years BUT... Is the Charter side (National Aviation) grounded or just no longer getting the flying up north as they use to! Also, for those who don't know, WestWind has the contract to fly for the mines... and they sub-contract some of t...

Re: Bid in January!!!

If you have access to the bid that was released today... then you also have access to the "REINSTATEMENT LIST" as well that shows the dates the pilots that were moved from their equipment, to go back to their equipment. unlike a few on this form.... I don't go by who told me what.... I do my own res...

Re: Bid in January!!!

This does mean Base or Equipment change for some pilots but they are expected to go back to their preferred base or equipment at the latest May 2011 if nothing else changes between now and then.

Certainly no rumors for any hiring in the near future...
but what do I know... I am just a pilot

Re: Bid in January!!!

The CRC have all the info from the company and pilot group to make the adjustments. This will take about 3-4 buisness days... so I suspect they will come out with the bid results at the latest by Friday.... but most likely on Wed or Thursday. Good luck to all... I personally bid Dash 8 this time aro...

Re: hiring at Jazz!!!

If I were you, I wouldn't say a word if you like your YYZ base... personally I would be rather on reserve in YYZ and get called out and world routes out of other bases compared to being on reserve out of YYC, YUL or YVR. let them run the company how they want to as long as I get what I want at the e...

Fueling King Air(s)

It depends on what kind of wing spar modifications have been done on the aircraft. It is best to fuel in the following order... Main,, Main,, Aux,, Aux,,.... and you wouldn't go wrong. Some 100s also have a Nacelle fueling capability.... just follow the directions in the following AFM and you will d...

FAA PPL

The only major difference between an FAA PPL and a Canadian PPL is the FAA PPL also includes night rating in it. without a night rating, the FAA does not issue their licenses. The only reason they issue an FAA PPL with no concerns is so that you can fly an American Registered aircraft was a PIC so l...

What to do when TC Inspector Calls???

I was contact by an Inspector last week regarding an incident that took place in January; WHAT SHOULD I DO; I did return his phone call and sounded friendly and said that he just wants to TRY and close my case as soon as possible; he asked me to write in via fax detailing what happened on the flight...
