I was wondering that yesterday. Story : You just landed and stop at the supermarket on the way home to buy some food, when you get back to your car, it just disappear. Your car was stolen and your licence was inside in your suitcase. Can you still legally fly?? On the same way, can you fly with phot...

Re: Single pilot jets with gravel capability
I double checked and it seems that only the citation 2, V and Ultra can be flown single pilot on gravel strips.
But are they able to operate from 3500 foot runways????? From what i've seen, 3500 seems too short.

Question about weather radar
hi, today I was flying with my new GWX 70 at 10 000 feet on the horizontal profile with a 40 NM range, the radar was showing green and yellow. When I looked at the vertical profile I saw a cloud 10 000 feet higher than me (therefore 20 000 feet) and there was a red dot at the upper side of the cloud...

SPIFR in the arctic Canada
I was wondering if there's any commercial/private operator flying SPIFR in northern Canada (I mean where you can't go by road!!)????
There's plenty farther to the south but I didn't find any up NORTH. I guess maybe because of bad weather conditions...
thanx

Re: Max. Commercial Flight Times
If you fly a private registred aircraft, it does not count on your max duty time.
Duty time is only when you fly a commercial registred aircraft (you work for an ''operator'').

If you fly a private registered aircraft you can fly 10 000 hours per year if you want... You're not working for a commecial ``operator``.

What is the most difficult flying? Flying a Navajo SPIFR without an autopilot, always stuck in the couch or flying a brand new Citation X two crew under the sun at FL340???? All the pilots I know who flew turbines told me that in general case, it's a lot easier to fly a turbine/turbofan than a piston.

I don't think the aviation gas in Venezuela is as cheap as the gasoline for cars (4 cents/liter)...
If the aviation gaz is that cheap you can fill a Navajo for 20 bucks

If you fly it for a private guy the only thing you need is a private IFR pilot licence (commercial if you're paid to do this) In the ``worst case`` a guy with 80 hours can fly the PC12 SPIFR. But good luck for the insurance :smt040 The best thing is to bring with you an experienced guy on the aircra...

Airline who allows you to fly manually???
i was talking with fellow pilots and they were telling me that after the King Air you can't fly the aircraft manually because the SOP's require the use of the AP
is that right? if so there is any airline in Canada where you can fly the aircraft from t/o to touchdown????

Right Colonel,
flying a NDB approach (without GPS) and a RNAV approach SPIFR it's two different things.

I know a guy in China who fly a 737NG, he's paid 190 000$ US per year with 2% of taxes. He's there since 5 years. Means a salary of approx 350K/year in Canada before taxes... Who is paid 350k in Canada to fly a wide body????? Maybe a 20 years of service captain on 777 with AC (if it's possible  )

Sure you can start out SPIFR by the corporate way, but good luck to find the job, I bet you have the same chances than winning the jackpot at 649!!!! And I hope that the people who will hire you will check if you have the skills to fly alone, it's easy to kill yourself when you have only 200TT and f...
