Re: Air Canada Interviews

You're still looking At reapplying/applying after reading the rest of the shit show of an airline this is recently!!?? You must be all super desperate.. Yet he reapplies.... Re: FP today

Hey, just a question from somebody outside the sitution watching you buzzards circle. Where were your voices 20 years ago when you were skating up the ranks in the wake of those who respected your contract? In (trying to) read through all this nonsense, I get the feeling that some of you actually th...

BUAHAHAHA! I love this post, and where you chose to place it. Make sure in an interview, when they ask you where you hope to be in 5 yrs, you say, "flying with somebody else in the big leagues."

Re: Cover Letter Question

Point taken, Bobby. Perhaps an A340 Captain IS comparable to a neurosurgeon (with respect to being in the upper echelon of one's industry). But no A340 Captain is looking for a ground position, Clod. Apples to apples, oranges to oranges. Get over yourself!

Re: Cover Letter Question

Yeah, you're right. A fully-trained neurosurgeon and a 200-hr flight school graduate have spent about the same amount of time training.

Re: Cell Phone

Thanks for the quick reply, MT. Much appreciated!

In that case, has anybody found one system better than another for optional tasks like checking scheduling, wifi usage outside Canada, etc.?

Thanks again....

Re: duty time and non-flying duties

Thanks for the reply. I've read the CARs and the Guidance material, but have never been able to find anything to say one doesn't have to go in when facing the above situation. Under CARs 700.16, it reads: (2) Where the flight is conducted under Subpart 4 or 5 using an aircraft other than a helicopte...

duty time and non-flying duties

In a few companies near where I fly, pilots (especially FNGs) have to work non-flying duties (washing airplanes on weekends, office duties on non-flying days, help around the dock, etc.). Where in the CARs does it talk about working non-flying duties, and whether they count as "duty time" in calcula...

Anybody got any numbers for me?" Trolling... not t...

Don't remember anything about Commercial Air Standards, but got stuff about FDRs, CVRs, and stuff about weather radar requirements. You should know 703 stuff, if not to separate it from 704 req's. Don't think I got any 705 stuff at all.

Sorry, B-rad, but I find it hard to believe you're in any position to wax eloquent about ANY real experience when I read your posts from just a few months ago asking what a maneuvring speed is, and how to get a government loan for flight training. Nothing wrong with asking these questions, but reall...
