Most importantly the GPS must be coupled to the flight director . As only our DC10's are coupled the other aircraft are unable to request ...

Re: Reapplying in 6 months
In 2007 I recieved 'your file will be retained for future consideration no sooner than 6 months from the date of your interview'. I too was hoping that was a 'better' PFO letter....never have heard back though. I have however continued to update my file to no avail. Good luck to all. Interviewed Jun...

Re: Bose headset parts

Make sure you buy insurance on it and register it requiring a signature upon recipt of delivery. They couri...

Cargojet losing the UPS contract?
I keep hearing a nasty rumour that Cargojet has or is losing the UPS contract due to non-performance. I was wondering if anyone who knows the facts would care to elaborate.

Departing CYLW last night as we were taxing for Rwy 16 Westjet was just about to do the same. Westjet's wing tip scrapped the left tip of the horizontal stabilizer on the R.J. and knocked off the static wick and obviously damaged the tip. I am told Westjet was able to depart later however when I ret...

I taught Multi-IFR for years at a B.C. based flight school and we never 'taught' hold entries in the aircraft. The instrument rating is won or lost in the sim... you should only be applying that knowledge in the aircraft. If your student is making entry errors they do not belong in the aircraft yet....
