I've learned that we still got boomers who think once you've done one thing for the profession that gives you carte Blanche for the rest of your career to not have to do anything
Or that since unions don't always succeed due to the environment at the time or because you're in a very unfriendly labour country like Hong Kong that unions can't win

Fact is while you can learn from the past, the current labour environment in Canada is extremely favorable. In fact, it probably couldn't get any better
If you just stick to the basics, organize a strong collective group that believes they WILL win. You WILL win
