I have done that on a pc12 before scared the shit out of me!! I realized that my jacket caught the power lever when i was reaching for my lunch didn't even feel it and that power lever is pretty stiff

Yeah 2 of the Zlins will probably be retired in the next month or two, they are planning on keeping a few zlins for emt training. As for the hanger they are making the old hanger a maintenance hanger and the new one will be the primary one with dispatch and all that stuff.

Were getting a brand new hanger for the new planes, they have not said what they are yet but I am pretty sure its 5 new da40's.

At my school we have GHXG, GHXF and FVWT, FVWH that can get confusing on the radio sometimes specially when you fly one for a few weeks then get switched to the the similar call sign.

yup thats how it works as soon as you get your private license you get the rest of the summer off. I got about 50 hours now and you do your private at 60 I believe. I have not started the courses at algoma yet, Im going hold off on those till I graduate. I wanna see what the job market will be like,...

I also do drink and party and did not fail out and I am going to stay the extra year and get a degree at algoma so pretty much every word you said was completely wrong. maybe you should be going back to school.....

yeah i can assure you that its not 10 grand i was going to take the program and it was about 38,000 i think. Had a look around the place and flew in some of there planes and quickly moved up to sault ste marie. Recommend the sault college program if your prepared to study your ass off.

It says on the website that you must maintain a 3.1 gpa does anybody know what that is in % i would guess like 75% is that right. I was told that the physics and mechanical stuff was pretty hard and thats were most students fall behind in. Is it pretty much grade 12 level stuff or is it much harder....

Well im in a hotel near sault college and just checked out the hanger its very nice and the planes look like brand new. Going to check out the college and go on a tour tomorrow anything you guys up here recommend that i check out while im up here.

im reading in this info sheet that sault sent me and it says if a stay an extra year ( so for 4 years) you can get a degree out of this program, Is it worth the extra year? How beneficial will a degree be over a diploma for getting jobs or is it mostly based on hours.

Yeah when i went up in one of there 172's we had to giggle the plugs for the headsets around for them to work and they still kept crapping out. I think I am going to sault college now im going up for a tour to see whats its like on monday.

So you do a college program for 3 years or privately for 1 year. The price difference is 20 grand as stated above. You will easily make that 20 grand difference back because you'll be working for 2 extra years. Although, it's hard to find a job right now, especially for fresh CPLs. It may be wise t...
