Re: SkyRegional Updates??
I've heard a rumour the Exchange Income Corporation was looking to buy SkyRegional. That would make for quite a large regional airline.

Re: Great system
I think that this may actualy be one of the best systems I have ever read/understood in commercial aviation. I am almost thinking that it is impossible in this industry to have such an intelligent system in place... no wonder it is so competitive to get a foot in the door at WJ :) ... regardless if...

Re: The AC Pilots Private Forum is temporarily unavailable.
I could be wrong, but I highly suspect the vote was split and the Chair did not want to be the deciding vote. You are wrong. Guys, how about instead of spreading bullshit rumours, you make a phone call or send an email and get the FACTS. It isn't hard. I emailed all the YYZ LEC members this morning...

Re: The AC Pilots Private Forum is temporarily unavailable.
I'm hopefull, for now, that the timing is a coincidence. If it is true that ACPA has any part in the shut down of the forum then it will only serve to drive our discussions public. The new forum is not private. Anyone can go on and see what has been discussed. Yes it looks like the new forum (link ...

Re: Sky Regional and CYTZ Updates?
Cart before the horse. Jazz secured the Thomas Cook contract and then CR sought out a company to compete out of YTZ at a lower CASM. That survival mentally swings both ways too. At the expiration of the CPA there is nothing stopping DHC-8's, Q400s and CRJ's to be operated by this brand new today, b...

Ray, Is it true you are doing all of this work for free? There is nothing in it for you, money wise? There were rumours that if the ftyd crowd got a payout that you would get a nice cut!

Re: AC C2 & TC!
yep, there sure is, whatever the security charge is for the particular airport . My understanding is YVR-YYC 8 dollars. For me a round trip on AC 93.00 even if I ride in the jumpseat of the aircraft I fly. I would get reimbursed for the service charge, but they made it such a pain in the ass, I don...

AC C2 & TC!
Not having typed a full word and I bet everyone knows what the topic is! :P Rumour is AC has notified Jazz that Jazz employees that are doing TC work are not to use C2 passes for the purposes of commuting to work for TC. Apparently AC employees are supposed to report any violation of the pass policy...

Re: Thank you AirCanada
What is petty now many not be so in the future. We've all learned that the hard way. I agree that we all need to cooperate to make this profession better. A good start is http://www.collegeofpilots.ca . It may seem petty but I don't think Jazz ALPA has contributed any $$ to help get this going. Most...

Re: Thank you AirCanada
Would you restrict the jump seat for WJ or Porter commuters? So why the cabin for commuting to do the TC contract. As for scope I can't believe we're debating this again. Scope only covers regional flying for mainline. No not at all! Those pilots don't have an equal boarding priority to AC employee...

Re: Thank you AirCanada
Commuting is not related to TC flying. I must have heard wrong! I was told there was at least one Jazz pilot living in YHZ but YYZ based that will be flying for TC! Will he be using AC passes to get to YYZ to do flying for TC? I thought all TC flying was going to be based in YYZ? Does Jazz pay AC t...

Re: Thank you AirCanada
the passes are a privilege/benefit given to Jazz employee's through the CPA, so I don't think it matters if you're working on behalf of TC or AC, there still Jazz employee's. Actually it does matter! You can't have it both ways. Kinda like the scope grievance that ACPA has filed regarding the 57's....

Re: Air Georgian Expanding Into 705 Ops
I hope you ACPA guys aren't secretly encouraging this americanization of the regional flying here in Canada, just to spite Jazz. Just have a look south of the border....and tell me how many Embraer's are at mainline companies? Be careful what you wish for. From this report looks like the trend is t...

Re: YTZ Flying
I really think "the race to the bottom" as some have called it, won't be an issue once the College of Professional Pilots http://www.collegeofpilots.ca/ is up and running. It will certainly take time to get everything established and it won't solve all of our issues but we can eliminate "the race to...

Re: YTZ Flying
"Cheaper" CPA partners and lower pilot wages do not necessarily go hand in hand. Disco I think you might be on to something. First of all I have no problem with the salaries Jazz guys get. They are paid well and do a great job! Looking at CASM of US regionals of about $0.14 compared with Jazz's of ...
